The Great & Glorious City of Yendor

In the centre of Yendor is the teeming marketplace.  Quite what it is teeming with rather depends on your perspective.

It is here that much of the trade takes place - it is a neutral meeting place, a place to see and be seen.

During the day, this is therefore an important place, especially on Market Day, when the population from the surrounding countryside come in to sell their wares and have a good time (or a bad time, if they're unlucky).

Of course, once night falls, the City Curfew is enforced, and the market square is empty of all but the City Watch on patrol.  Oh yes, and there might be the odd shadowy figure slinking about - the Watch isn't as observant when it comes to spotting certain individuals moving around at night.
